Discovering My New Passion: Homemade Tea!
(recipe below)
I’ve stumbled upon a new passion that I absolutely have to share with you—making my own tea! Trust me, it’s way more fun than you might think.
It all started when a friend of mine introduced me to her homemade tea blend. She had crafted this beautiful jar filled with dried raspberries, leaves from boysenberry bushes, and other natural ingredients she found in nature.
The meditative magic of Tea-Making
What I didn’t expect was just how meditative and calming the process would be. There’s something incredibly satisfying about gathering herbs, flowers, and leaves and blending them into something uniquely your own. It brings a sense of calmness, joy, and creativity that I didn’t anticipate.
My walks have become more than just exercise- I learn about different plants, flowers, and bushes and their health benefits.
I have to admit, even though I feel like I aged a century overnight (in the best way possible), I’m finding this new hobby incredibly relaxing and fun.
The benefits of Sleeping Tea
🍋 It improves sleep quality since ingredients like lavender, lemon balm (Norwegian: sitronmelisse) and passionflower are known to extend sleep duration, allowing for a more restful night's sleep.
🍋 They are ALL NATUUURAL and therefore - Non-Habit Forming.
Theu don’t have any caffeine in them nor are they sleeping pills.
🍋 Drinking sleeping tea can also make your body accustomed to a new "bedtime routine". Drinking a cup of tea before bed can become a calming ritual, signaling to the body that it’s time to wind down. This consistent routine can enhance the body's natural sleep-wake cycle.
Combine this with some mindfulness meditation, and it will presumably further enhancing relaxation and sleep.
